Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble 🦃

        Thanksgiving is a North American holiday that is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States, and the third Thursday of October in Canada. In conversation class the week of November 15^th, we learned the story of the first Thanksgiving, which involves how the Pilgrims left Plymouth, England in the year 1620 and landed in what is now the Northeastern United States. We learned about traditional Thanksgiving foods like turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin pie, and talked about the first Thanksgiving dinner with the Native American Indians and Pilgrims at Plymouth rock. During the week of November 22^nd, we talked about what we are most thankful for in our lives… family, friends, school, and more!
